SUPPORTED EMPLOYMENT In our model of supported employment each worker has a coordinator who assists not only in job related functions but other areas such as housing, mental health, physical health, and recreation. The job related supports help the worker deal with stress at the job which can come from social relationships, supervisors, changes in job assignments or even work location. It also involves learning on the job, career development and juggling work with disability benefits, making sure you don’t lose benefits until you’re ready to make that step. AFFIRMATIVE INDUSTRIES Most of our clients, regardless of the program, work in one of our affirmative businesses. An affirmative industry provides employment to individuals with barriers to competitive employment. Employment takes place in regular community workplaces but has some built-in accommodations to assist in job performance. Tasks Unlimited Building Services is the arm of the agency that organizes and operates the businesses and vocational services. CAREER LADDER Our Affirmative Industries offer training, apprenticeships and placement of graduates in supervisory and management positions within our affirmative industries. People in supervisory and management positions continue to receive the support services they need. EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES Currently TUBS has a variety of positions including supervisory positions in its building maintenance, building construction and mail room operations.

at different jobs and for different employers but all receive supported
employment services from a Tasks Unlimited Coordinator to help insure job
stability, performance and career development.
