Lodge Magic
is a wonderful story of weird and memorable characters who society labels
"mentally ill." Meet
and laugh along with:
·
Bud, a curmudgeonly old-timer with vivid memories of the
days when fire hoses were used to control State Hospital patients
·
Silas, who used to wear his headphones all the time to drown
out the voices in his head
·
Quiet, slightly spooky Dick, who doesn't really mind living
in a group or being a janitor. What really bothers him is being in a
program
·
Marsha, the college student who lost her memory due to shock
treatments. She unexpectedly
finds love.

Recovery comes alive in this dark comedy, where,
surprisingly, people thrive in an atmosphere of shared responsibility,
pain, joy, courage and community.
Lodge Magic is adapted from a collection of short
stories by John Trepp. The
extremely talented director is Dennis Behl of the Guthrie and the cast,
led by Clyde Lund (Children's Theatre, Mixed Blood, Old Log, etc.)
includes other community favorites as Joe Hart, Victoria Main, Mark
Margolis, Steve Sterling, Joanne Voves, and Laura Wiebers.
The stage manager is Lydia Lee.
